I can say from the bottom of my heart that Shelley and Bjorn are two of the warmest, most genuine people I know. Their energy is the kind that draws you in with open arms and a big smile, so being a part of their wedding day was a great pleasure for me.
When Shelley and I sat down to discuss their wedding vision, I was delighted to hear that the focus would be on them, that they wanted to use decor and details to highlight their love, not overshadow it. Being the foodies that they are, they choose Boehmer, an urban restaurant with a modern vibe and yummy food, to host both their ceremony and reception.
Warm, welcoming, elegant with a rustic nod was the vision, which was achieved through simple but thoughtfully crafted details such as the graceful ceremony floor garland, copper hand lettered place cards, a custom DIY seating chart and freshly baked cookie favours. Pulled off with the help of some my favourite magic makers Blush and Bloom on flowers, Heidi Lau behind the lens and Charlie Whiskey with her lovely lettering.
To top it off, this love story is featured on Style Me Pretty, pop on over to hear Shelley describe in her own words their special day.
